The power of Christ compels us

While we thoroughly approve of airing one’s grievances, we cannot simply condone violence against one’s private property.

Earlier today, the State of Washington called, informing us that our 2015 Gay Pride Festivus Pole, the Olympia Erection, was vandalized. This matter is being taking very seriously, as it should … in our book, it’s a hate crime. Washington State Police have been alerted, and luckily for us, there may be video surveillance footage of the caper.

For the record, we note staff has been exceptionally polite and helpful from day one, and we don’t hold the accountable or responsible for this wanton act of stupidity.

As to the picture below, on the left, that’s ISIS destroying an expression of belief they find disagreeable. On the right, is our pole, similarly hijacked.

We cannot really tell the difference between the hate. At the root of most evil in our world is religion, yours or another.

One final note … our 2015 Deerfield Beach pole was also vandalized, by an individual we’re familiar with … another narrow minded bigot.
