On October 7, 2015, you were both contacted via email regarding our client Bishop Chaz Stevens’ request to perform an invocation before a regular City Commission meeting. You were again contacted on October 15, 2015.
At that time, his prior request had gone unanswered, and as I write to you now, our correspondence to you, despite being read, remains entirely ignored. Neither my client nor this office have had any response from the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Obviously, the lack of response is disturbing, if not entirely unprofessional. This letter shall serve as a reminder in hopes that the City will not discriminate against the Bishop and will allow my client to exercise his constitutional rights.
If the City of Ft. Lauderdale continues to ignore my client, he has no alternative but to involve both the national media and the Courts. Given my client’s reputation and tenacity, I trust that this type of negative attention would be undesirable at best.
