Mr. Feldman and Ms. Everett:

On October 7, 2015, you were both contacted via email regarding our client Timothy “Chaz” Stevens’ request to perform an invocation before a regular City Commission meeting.

At that time, his prior request had gone unanswered. Now, a week later, despite our records reflecting your reception of our correspondence, neither my client nor this office have had any response from the City of Fort Lauderdale.

Obviously, the lack of response is disturbing. This letter shall serve as a reminder and follow-up in hopes that the City will not discriminate against Mr. Stevens and will allow my client to exercise his constitutional rights. We hope that the City of Ft. Lauderdale will not abandon the invocation process in lieu of a moment of silence out of fear of what my client may or may not say as numerous other cities have done.

Very truly yours,
Thomas H. Wright III, Esq.
