Tallahassee Democrat: Few applications for Capitol holiday displays

It’s the first week of December and all over the Capitol, DMS has but one holiday display application with which to grapple.

The state Department of Management Service is reviewing one application to place a holiday display — for a rainbow colored, gay Festivus pole — in the Florida Capitol’s rotunda this year.

Not even the caretakers for baby Jesus, the center of two Nativity scenes that historically have adorned the marble floors during the holidays, have signed up.
