Last week, I sent the tawny Town of Palm Beach (home to Rush Limbaugh and Anne Coulter) an email requesting an invocation spot. A satanic invocation spot.
This morning, the City Clerk emails, “The Town is in receipt of your e-mail. Please be advised that there is no invocation rotation for our meetings. Instead, the Town Clerk reads a brief, non-denominational statement at each meeting asking that we work for the good of the people, be generous in our outlook, courageous in the face of difficulty, and wise in our decisions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.”
In fact, downright unconstitutional.
So, we jot off this email:
Under the recent SCOTUS ruling, that is clearly illegal. Therefore, I will be forwarding a copy of this email to my attorney, so he can protect my religious rights guaranteed under law.
Kindly advise your Attorney to expect a letter.
Best to you, and my thanks for the prompt response.
