Now that the holidays are over, the Florida-based activist responsible for the Festivus pole display in the Georgia Capitol is back with another colorful, ridiculous idea.
A new pole display, dubbed the “Religious Freedom Project”, would include a “sonic plum” painted heart with the equality symbol in the middle, set atop a pole that displays the “colors of pride”.
Designed to promote “tolerance and love”, activist Chaz Stevens new pole idea aims to confront lawmakers who support the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which he implies is about “intolerance and hate”. Stevens is currently attempting to raise $10,000 to combat the measure.
